Our method
At Positive School, we don’t give lessons of English, we give lessons in English. Indeed, some other subjects are taught in English, which makes the learning of a foreign language more lively, concrete and effective.
Some periods will be devoted to the celebration and discovery of other cultures (Dia de los Muertos, Halloween, Chinese New Year, Holi…).
Therefore, the English language is used as a means of communication, useful for talking with children all around the world, and not only as a language of study. The Montessori Model United Nations Project will enable the children to put what they have learned into practice.
For what results ?
This bilingual international environment not only promotes better assimilation of the foreign languages, but also maintains the skills of those who already speak two languages (when they return home after expatriation, for example) and eases the admission of non-French speaking students into the school system of this country.
Bilingualism also has some less-known cognitive benefits, including creativity, intellectual agility, improved faculties of adaptation and communication.
